This morning four-hour, small-group private excursion takes you to sea in a Willard Navy Seals boat. We generally start with experiencing the energy and curiosity of wild spinner dolphins in their natural environment. Following the swim in waters where dolphins can often be found, we travel south to explore the sea caves along the Kona Coast, and go snorkeling in the calm waters of Kealakekua Bay Reserve. Often called the best snorkeling spot in Hawaii, the reserve is only accessible by boat (or a very long hike). After exploring the colorful reef, relax onboard with snacks and green tea while learning about the historic and cultural background of this region. On your way back to Keauhou Bay, you may see other sea creatures such as whales (humpbacks when in season), manta rays, and sea turtles. There is also an option to build your own tour.

This morning 4-hour, small-group wild dolphin swim adventure departs Keahou Harbor at 8am in safe Willard Navy Seals boats. On this trip, see the dolphins energy and curiosity towards humans. Afterward, enjoy a quiet and relaxing snorkel in the Kealakekua reserve, often called the best snorkeling spot in all Hawaii, and only accessible by boat (or a very long hike). In season, look for other natural sea creatures such as whales and sea turtles.
Because this charter limits customers to six per boat, there is plenty of room, plenty of individual attention, and plenty of time to ensure that you can get to everything and still have time to relax. These tours have something for the entire family, and are guaranteed to leave you longing to come back.
Itinerary:
8 a.m. The 1st Aid/CPR trained crew will provide detailed safety instructions, before heading south from Keauhou Harbor in search of Hawaii's famous spinner dolphins

Explore the Coast
10 a.m. Head south along the Kona Coast to explore sea caves en route to Kealakekua Bay. The captain or guide will point out interesting facts about the unique coastline of Hawaii. You might be able to enter a grotto, waves and weather permitting.
Kealakekua Bay
10:45 a.m. Enjoy snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay, one of the best snorkel spots in all of Hawaii with calm and clear water and fish everywhere.

Most people picture beautiful waterfalls and an active volcano when they think about the island of Hawaii. This easy small-group guided tour combines both of these highlights into one fun filled day. Travel by van during your full-day tour and visit an alluring waterfall located in Hilo, which if you are lucky enough, you will see a rainbow form the spray of the water. Head downtown for a stop at a black sand beach and then enjoy lunch (available for purchase) before visiting Big Island Candies. Afterwards, head over to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to see the sites and a buffet dinner (available for purchase) and a walk into a lava tube (optional).

Your tour begins with pickup in Waikoloa, Kohala, or Kailua-Kona in a spacious 15-passenger van with a maximum group size of 14 people per tour for a small-group experience.
Drive over Saddle Road to the Hilo side of the island to reach an elevation of 6,800 feet (2,073 meters); along the way, your tour guide explains the different climate zones. When descending from the volcanoes into Hilo, you will see beautiful Rainbow Falls. If the conditions are right, you may see a rainbow in the spray of the water.
Then continue into downtown Hilo and visit a black-sand beach before enjoying lunch (available for purchase) at a local diner. Next, stop at Big Island Candies for samples of Kona coffee, shortbread cookies, and chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, if you wish.
Your last destination is the world famous Hawaii Volcanoes National Park* (UNESCO World Heritage Site), which includes attractions such as steam vents, Chain of Craters Road, and Kilauea Iki overlook. Dinner (available for purchase) will take place inside the national park, and if the Hawaiian volcano goddess permits you can see her crater home where gases are sometime emitted.
Then sit back and relax as your guide returns you to your hotel. This tour is perfect for those who would like to see many different places on the Big Island of Hawaii without long strenuous hikes. Please note: the longest walk is an optional 0.3-mile (0.5-km) walk on a path into a lava tube.
*Hawaii Volcanoes National Park main sites are closed at this time due to volcanic eruptions. It is expected to partially reopen September 22nd, 2018
