Want a change of pace from the beach scene? Head to the treetops for a thrilling zipline adventure at the historic World War ll base called "Camp Maui" on Maui’s North Shore. Expert guides lead you through a zipline course that features 7 lines, giant towers, aerial platforms, and swinging suspension bridges. Experience the fun and entertainment provided by Maui's BEST guides, all while taking in the amazing views of Maui’s lush landscape. You also learn about Hawaii's history, wildlife and culture throughout the tour. Choose from time slots available throughout the day, with all ziplining instruction and safety equipment included.

Make your own way to the zipline park, located in beautiful Haiku, just a 25-minute drive from Kahului. When you arrive, your friendly guides welcome you and help you to get fitted with ziplining gear, including a safety harness, helmet, gloves and other equipment. You then receive a safety briefing and expert instruction on how to zipline before you head out.

At the entrance to the course, your guides make sure that you are safely attached to the zipline. Soak up some friendly encouragement and reassurance if any pre-flight jitters come up. Once you’re ready, step off the platform and soar down the zipline.

During your tour experience, zip on 7 different lines that run over and through a canopy of giant eucalyptus trees. Work up to the tallest lines, which reach heights of 70 feet (21 meters), extend as far as 900 feet (274 meters) and let you fly at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour (64km per hour). Also negotiate several aerial deck transfers, giant towers, and a suspension bridges that swing between the trees. You can even try some aerial dance moves while flying along. Freestyle zipping allows you to go backwards, spin, or even go upside-down, for the brave at heart!

Your adventure unfolds against the vibrant scenery of the Pacific Ocean, the North Shore, and perhaps even a rainbow. First timers and experienced zipline enthusiasts alike can enjoy this course and learn about Maui’s history, wildlife and culture when your guides share stories about the Hawaiian islands, and Camp Maui's historic part in World War ll. We are located on the Road to Hana, on Maui's beautiful North Shore, at Hale Akua Garden Farm & Eco-Retreat Center. First we will provide you with a tour around the beautiful lush organic farm, and visit some of the different animal habitats, then we will go into a petting barn where we will bring some of the animals to you as well for feeding time.

You will have the opportunity to spend time with the animals, get to know their various characteristics and plenty of unique photo opportunities as well!

We will be providing you lots of information as you interact and feed the animals. We will cover topics such as foods for the animals, care-taking, rotational grazing, characteristics of each animal and, depending upon your level of interest, can dive deep into techniques and information about these farm animals.
