Skip the big crowds on this manta ray–viewing excursion at night, a Hawaiian experience you shouldn't miss while on the Kona Coast. You'll take an double hull Hawaiian canoe into Keauhou Bay after sunset and use provided snorkel gear for an underwater look at these plankton-feeding marine wonders. Because we don't have a motor our lights are right between the hulls. This means that you don't even have to get into the water to get a phenomenal view of the Mantas! You have the option of getting in the water and snorkeling or enjoying the view from the canoe!

After checking in at the Keauhou Bay boat ramp, board a traditional Hawaiian double hull canoe for a 5-minute paddle out to the manta ray site. See a Hawaiian sunset and maybe get a glimpse of the green flash, then remain in the comfort of your canoe until the mantas start coming up to the boat.

Drawn to the plankton that are attracted by underwater lights at night, these Kona Coast mantas are frequently seen in the waters of Keauhou Bay, coined ‘Manta Village.’ Once they show up you can slip into the ocean with snorkel gear and watch an otherworldly display while the rays glide near by.

Throughout the 1-hour experience you’ll stay safely between the hulls of the canoes. This small-group tour allows your experienced guides to provide personalized attention while sharing the history and cultural significance of the Keauhou area.

Snorkel gear and wet suit tops are provided.

Enjoy a beautiful Hawaiian sunset aboard our luxurious trimaran Hokulani. Be sure to have your camera ready to catch a glimpse of the elusive green flash. As the sun sets we coast to the world famous Manta Ray Village. Travel Channel says “its one of the top ten things to do in your life time”, and Sea Paradise has been offering its guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with these majestic manta rays since 1985, making Sea Paradise an original tour expert in Hawaii.

Once you arrive at the "World Famous Manta Ray Village" our expert staff will provide a knowledgeable and professional briefing as they prepare you to enter the water. After the briefing our staff guides you onto our state of the art “manta floatation device”. Here you will float above the manta rays as they feed on the microscopic plankton. As your incredible snorkel experience comes to and end our staff guides you back onboard where snacks and hot cocoa wait. Snorkel time is approximately 1 hour.
